Gavan is an EU and Irish Trade Mark attorney with over 25 years’ experience in the IP profession. He is the Managing Partner of the firm.
Gavan is a partner in FRKelly, and he handles a wide range of European and International Trade Mark matters. Gavan advises clients in relation to all aspects of brand protection, including searching, registration, watching, enforcement, dispute resolution, and general portfolio management and advisory work. His clients include individual entrepreneurs, through to small and medium-sized businesses, to public listed companies, and even rock bands and musicians.
Gavan has significant experience in advising clients who require commercially focused brand management expertise. He advises a diverse client base, which extends from supporting in-house legal teams to acting as an IP adviser to senior management and to brand marketing teams. He has developed an expertise with regard to strategic trade mark portfolio management, enabling clients to control their IP budgets in a cost-efficient manner. He has extensive knowledge of many jurisdictions across the world and can advise and support clients comprehensively with their global protection and enforcement strategies.
