Hazell has a degree in Engineering from the University of Auckland specialising in Biomedical Engineering. She also has a Master of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington specialising in Intellectual Property. She is a patent associate in FRKelly working in the patents team, specifically in the Engineering team.
Hazell is a registered patent attorney in Australia and New Zealand and has six years’ experience working in the Intellectual Property field in New Zealand. As part of her role she has been responsible for managing, filing, drafting and prosecuting patents as well as advising on IP strategy. Hazell’s practise has a particular focus on medical device technology.
