Based in Belfast, Stephen is a partner in FRKelly with over 28 years’ experience in the IP profession. He provides a wide range of intellectual property services to local and international clients, including universities, and has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in numerous jurisdictions, with particular emphasis on mechanical engineering, and has personally built up a large and varied client base comprised mainly of small to medium-sized companies, primarily in Northern Ireland
Stephen also has extensive experience in obtaining trade mark and design registrations in the UK, Europe and other countries and advising clients on branding, design and copyright matters. Stephen was formerly a Senior Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office.
